This page is maintained by Black Rock Bakery and explains how we handle the information you share with us. It is not a legal certification.
What we collect
When you place a pickup order we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), the items you ordered, your chosen pickup day, and any note you add. If you send us a message or leave a review, we keep what you wrote and the contact details you provide.
How we use it
We use your details only to bake, confirm and hand over your order: sending your confirmation and pickup address, contacting you if we have a question, and keeping sales records for tax purposes. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.
Reviews
Reviews are read by us before they appear on the site. Only your first-provided display name, star rating, comments and the products you mention are shown publicly — your email address is never displayed.
Where your information lives
Order and message records are stored in our hosted database and are accessible only to the bakery owners after signing in. Order confirmation emails are delivered through our email provider. Payments are handled in person or through Venmo or Cash App — we never see or store card numbers.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores your shopping basket locally on your own device so it is still there when you come back.
How long we keep it
Sales records are kept as long as we need them for tax reporting. Contact messages and reviews are kept until we no longer need them.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete your personal information at any time — just send us a message or email BlackRockBakery2@gmail.com. We will remove what we are not required to keep for tax records.
